Learning from Grethel Raypon was a true gift. I was a 13 year old girl in the world of competitive dance, when we were told by our director we would be getting a new ballet instructor. The second myself and the other girls met Grethel, we were immediately better for it. With her commitment to better not just our skills in dance, but our skills in life, we all grew in different ways. She helped us learn the skills of dance and also to be better humans. Grethel and her talents taught us being prepared will always get you where you want to go. She taught us to never stop working toward our goals. That being the early bird will get you the worm. Grethel reminded us that life can have structure, but also be fun and rewarding. Now at 30 years old, I look back and can say how truly grateful I am to have been taught irreplaceable skills from a woman of such skill, talent, depth, passion, and love. I’m so blessed by Grethel and her impact on my life.
