Explore our comprehensive range of ballet programs designed to meet the needs of dancers at every level, from beginners to advanced students.

Tiny Tots

Young children from age 3 – 4 years old are introduced to the world of ballet through age-appropriate, entertaining activities in our Tiny Tots program. These sessions, which aim to inspire a passion of dancing at the Active Start stage of Using the Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD), concentrate on fundamental ballet techniques, listening and social skills, coordination, and musicality in a fun and encouraging setting. Our youngest dancers gain confidence and acquire core skills that will help them as they grow, with a focus on creativity and self-expression.  
 
Students enrolled in the Tiny Tots Program will be taking (2) 60-minutes Classical Technique classes per week.

Kinder

Young children from age 5 – 6 years old continue in their journey of exploration into the art form of ballet and its introductory skills. Referring to the LATD model, students participating in the Kinder Program begin the transition from the Foundational Stage to Learning to Train Stage, again utilizing developmentally appropriate activities and instructional strategies.  Exposure to skills and techniques evolves into fun and structured repetition and an understanding of spatial awareness within the context of a group dynamic.  
 
Students enrolled in the Kinder Program will be taking (2) 60-minutes Classical Technique classes per week.

Beginner

Our Beginner Program is intended to build young dancers with strong foundation in ballet technique. It is open to students aged 7-9 years old. With an emphasis on basic posture, rhythmic movement, and steps, the Beginner Program assist students in developing their flexibility, discipline, and coordination. Our beginning dancers develop fundamental skills in a nurturing and motivating atmosphere while cultivating a love for ballet via well-organized classes and captivating activities.
 
Students enrolled in the Beginner Program will be taking (2) 60-minutes Classical Technique classes per week.

Intermediate

For dancers who have mastered the fundamentals and are prepared to enhance their talents, we offer an Intermediate Program for ages 10 to 11 years old. At this Training to Train stage of LATD, the Intermediate Program concentrates on strengthening, increasing flexibility, and honing technique. Students gain more precision and artistic expression as they progress through increasingly difficult combinations and an introduction to performing skills.  It is at this stage that we introduce Pointe technique to students, providing an advanced level of performance and expression. 
 
Students enrolled in the Intermediate Program will be taking 5 classes per week:
 
·      (3) 60-minutes Classical Technique 
·      (2) dedicated Beginner Pointe Technique

Pre-Professional I

Our Pre-Professional Program is intended for committed dancers who want to study ballet at an advanced level and intend to dance into adulthood. It is open to students aged 12 to 19 years old. As it prepares students for professional dance careers or academic studies, this demanding curriculum draws on the Learning to Compete, Learning to Win, and Winning for a Living stages of Long-Term Athlete Development.  The Pre-Professional Program places a strong emphasis on advanced technique, performance artistry, and physical conditioning. Through rigorous training, individualized guidance, and multiple performance chances, our aspiring professionals refine their techniques, develop their unique artistic style, and acquire the self-assurance required to excel both on stage and off.
 
Students enrolled in the Pre-Professional Program will be taking 5 classes per week:
 
·      (3) 60-minutes Classical Technique 
·      (2) dedicated Advanced Pointe Technique

Contemporary

We are pleased to offer a Contemporary Ballet Dance Program tailored to individuals aged 11-19 years old. Our classes are thoughtfully designed to enhance dancers' technical proficiency and foster creative expression through movement. We invite you to join us for a rewarding and stimulating experience that will enable you to develop as a dancer artist.
 
Students enrolled in the Contemporary Program will be taking (1) 60-minutes Contemporary Technique classes per week.

Objective

Offering students of all ages and skill levels a thorough and fulfilling ballet education is the goal of Northeast Ballet Academy's Regular Program for 2024 - 2025. By means of an organized curriculum that emphasizes technique, artistry, and performance abilities, our goal is to foster each student's enthusiasm for dance and assist them in realizing their maximum potential. Age Groups

At Northeast Ballet Academy, we provide age-appropriate teaching and support for every student by providing customized ballet programs for a range of age groups. Our lessons serve a variety of students, including small children learning to dance for the first time, preteens and teens perfecting their skill, and adults looking to follow their passion for ballet. We establish a caring and stimulating environment where students may develop their skills and enthusiasm for ballet at every stage of their dancing career by offering specific programs for various age groups.

Beginner Pointe

For Intermediate Students

Students are introduced to the basics of pointe dancing in our Beginner Pointe class, which is part of the Intermediate level curriculum. Building the strength, technique, and alignment required for pointe work is the main goal of this session. The abilities needed for safe and efficient pointe dancing are developed in pupils through carefully planned exercises and instruction. This crucial part of our intermediate curriculum builds confidence and accuracy in dancers as they progress through the levels, preparing them for more difficult pointe work.

Pointe

For Pre-Professional Students

Our Pre-Professional level curriculum includes a Pointe lesson that is essential to pushing experienced dancers to new levels of ballet training. This lesson focuses on advanced pointe techniques, strength, and accuracy, emphasizing complicated combinations and precise footwork. Students hone their talents and artistry via rigorous training and individualized coaching, readying them for professional performance standards. This crucial pre-professional training element honed each dancer's technical skills and improved their ability to express themselves on stage.

Variation

For Pre-Professional Students

A significant component of the Pre-Professional level curriculum is our Variation class, which focuses on the study and execution of traditional ballet variations. Students can improve their technical skill and artistic expression by learning and perfecting famous solos from well-known ballets in this session. Dancers acquire the accuracy, style, and stage presence necessary for a professional performance through thorough teaching and focused attention. This crucial pre-professional training element displays students' talent and versatility while preparing them for ballet professions and auditions.
